Rolled Christmas Cookies
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1 cup butter or margarine
2 cups flour
1 egg, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract, if desired
Mix together sugar, cream of tartar, soda and butter. Add flour, egg,
vanilla and almond extract if using.Form into a dough. Roll into 1 to
1½" balls and pressed flat to 1/4". Bake at 300 to 350° for 8
mins.Frost with favorite powdered sugar icing and decorate.
