WHITE MOUNTAIN CAKE
3 c. sugar 1 c. milk 1 tb baking powder 1 ts flavoring 1 c. butter 6 egg whites 4 c. flour, sifted
* Cream butter & sugar together. Add milk to half the egg whites. * Mix flour and Baking powder and add alternately with milk and egg white mixture. *While beating add flavoring then fold in remaining egg whites, beaten stiff. *Bake in 3 inch layer pans in moderate oven (350 F. ) for 1 hour. SERVES 10
