ICE CREAM CAKE This is the cake that my two boys request every year on their Birthday. (Still do even tho they do not live at home)
22-30 Oreo cookies- crushed (choc. sandwich cookies) 1 qt. choc. ice cream-softened 1 qt. vanilla ice cream-softened 24 oz. Hershey's Fudge Sauce 8 oz Cool Whip Put crushed cookies on the bottom of a 9x13" cake pan. Carefully spread vanilla ice cream on top. (I drop spoonfuls all around then take a spoon dipped in water and press on top of the ice cream to flatten and make it spread) Freeze till firm. Take out and spread fudge sauce on top, again using a spoon dipped in water is easier. Freeze till firm. Take out and spread with vanilla ice cream, doing the same. Freeze till firm. Take out and spread with Cool Whip. Freeze over night. I take some of the Cool Whip and put into a decorating bag and pipe it around the outside edges of the cake, then I decorate it with the gel that comes in the little tubes. It takes awhile to make but it is worth it! The boys like these better than Dairy Queens! Genia
