Stain Glass Candy (Cinnamon Candy)

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 cups sugar 2 cups white Karo syrup (corn syrup) 1/2 cup boiling water 1 tsp. red food coloring 1 tsp. cinnamon oil
Prepare you sheet cake pan before cooking candy by greasing the pan. Mix first 3 ingredients to 300 degrees and/or hard crack stage on a candy thermometer. Have ready 1 tsp. of red food coloring and 1 tsp. of cinnamon oil. Add quickly before it sets up. Pour on the greased sheet cake pan.
Caution: Stand back when you add Cinnamon oil and coloring as it may steam up and burn you. Also, when you pour into the sheet cake pan, keep your face back, as it may still steam up and burn you.
You may also color it any other Christmas color, add peppermint oil, etc. to change up the recipe. However, I used more peppermint oil than cinnamon oil.
