Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 quart buttermilk
1 jar dill pickles -- chips (spears might work)
cooking oi
In large flat pan mix flour, salt and pepper. In bowl place buttermilk and Worcestershire sauce, drain pickles.
Dip pickles in wet dip then dry then drop one at a time into preheated oil so they wont stick together and cook until golden brown.
eat plain with ketchup or your favorite dip, I like a dip consisting of 1 part mustard, 2 parts mayonnaise, 2 parts ketchup blended together if a kick is desired ad a bit of hot sauce. Nothing better than a batch of these and a cold
coke!
Variation just thought of as i type this recipe, Place a bit of chili powder in with the dry coating
Coating can also be used for onion rings or tater tots, i have even coated hot dogs and deep fried them.
The sauce described is good on burgers a dip for fish or shrimp, a dip for French fries or on hot dogs, oh yeah you might want to add some sweet relish maybe a tablespoon.
