MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Crumb Topped Peaches Categories: Desserts, Fruits, Low-cal Yield: 4 Servings 1/2 c Apple cider *1 2 lg Peaches *2 2 ts Margarine 3 ea Vanilla wafers, crushed 2 tb Almonds, sliced PREP TIME: 10 Minutes COOKING TIME: 5 minutes *1 may use apple juice or white grape juice. *2 peeled, halved and pitted. In a mediun skillet heat juice or cider to boiling; add peach halves. Cover and simmer for 5 or 6 minutes or till tender. turning over once. Place fruit half ineach desert dish and drizzle juice around fruit. Meanwhile, in a small skillet melt margarine. Stir in crushed wafers and almonds. Stir over medium heat till almonds are lightly toasted. Sprinkle over fruit. NOTE: If desired substitute 4 canned (in juice)peach halves, drained, for fresh peaches. Simmer in juice or cider 3-4 minutes or till peaches are heated through. Continue as directed above.
