1 box cake mix -- (2-layer size)
1 can pie filling -- (20 oz)
2 eggs
FROSTING:
1 cup white granulated sugar (or 1/2 cup brown sugar)
3 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. milk
1/2 cup chocolate chips (or butterscotch chips)
Beat (dry) cake mix, pie filling and eggs together well. Spread in a greased 10x15-inch pan.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees F. Cool and frost.
FROSTING:
Combine sugar, butter and milk in a saucepan. Bring to boil and boil for 30 seconds, stirring
constantly. Remove from heat; add chocolate chips or butterscotch chips. Beat well and spread on
bars.
For chocolate cake mix, use cherry pie filling. For yellow cake mix, use raisin pie filling. For
spice cake mix, use raisin or mincemeat pie filling. Diabetic Exchanges: 1 1/2 meat
