Best Ever Barbecue Sauce
"We use this sauce on almost everything: beef, pork; poultry. It's great on chicken wings."
2 Tbsp. butter 1 onion, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced juice of 1 orange 1 Tbsp. raisins 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar 2 Tbsp. oil grated zest of 1 orange 1 cup molasses 1 cup tomato sauce 2 tsp. chili powder 1/8 tsp. allspice 1 tsp. prepared mustard 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp. crushed hot red pepper 1/2 tsp. salt
Melt butter and add onion and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes. Combine orange juice, raisins, vinegar and oil in food processor or blender until smooth. Add processed ingredients and remaining ingredients to onion-garlic mixture. Heat until boiling, reduce heat and simmer uncovered, for 15 minutes. Makes enough sauce for 36 wings.
