BIRD SUET
This recipe won't go rancid before it's time.
1cp crunchy peanut butter
1cp lard at room temp
2cp quick oats
2cp cornmeal
1cp flour
1/2cp sugar
leftover nuts of any kind, chopped small
In a saucepan, melt p-nut butter and lard together over medium-low heat. Stir in the remaining ingredients and pour into an 8x8 baking pan. Let the mixture cool completely and cut into pieces that will fit nicely into your cage type suet feeder. Wrap any leftover chunks in saran wrap and keep it in a dry, cool place until it's needed.
