WARNING NOT FOR GLASS SCREENS LIKE THE ANDROID TABLET!
I have not tried this
Scratches on your cell phone screen are an inconvenience, not to mention an ugly eyesore. Use this simple method to remove scratches from your cell phone screen and easily make it look new again. This also works on CD's and plastic display screens of any kind.
What You Need to Remove Scratches from Your Cell Phone Screen
The first item you need to remove scratches from your cell phone screen is a microfiber cloth. Microfiber cloth can be found at most department stores in the auto department, usually advertised at microfiber auto cleaning cloths. This is the least expensive way to find them. However, they may also be found in the cleaning supplies section of your local department stores as well.
The other items you need to remove scratches from your cell phone screen are an egg, aluminum foil and alum. Alum is potassium aluminum sulfate and can be found at your local drugstore or ordered online.
How to Remove Scratches from Your Cell Phone Screen - Step #1
The first step you'll take to remove scratches from your cell phone screen is to cut a small piece of the microfiber cloth. You don't need a large piece. It should only be a few inches square. You can also make a big batch of these treated cloths for later use.

Next, in a small sauce pan combine one egg white (no yolk) and about one teaspoon of alum. Heat the mixture to about 150 degrees Fahrenheit. A candy thermometer would come in handy here but if you don't have one, just heat over medium heat for a couple of minutes. Make sure everything is dissolved and don't over heat the mixture.

The next step you'll take to remove scratches from your cell phone screen is to take the microfiber cloth and soak it in the egg/alum mixture. It should absorb quite a bit of the mixture.

Now put the cloth on a piece of aluminum foil and insert into a 300 degree oven until the cloth is dry. Then, remove from the oven and rinse in cold, running water for about 20-30 seconds.

The final step to remove scratches from your cell phone screen is to repeat the above step three times. Each time you rinse, put it back in the oven and let dry then rinse again. Once you've done this three times, let the cloth sit out and air dry for at least 48 hours.
Now, it's ready to use. You can remove scratches from your cell phone screen, CD's or any plastic display screen. It works great for clocks, plastic ware, stereo display screens, etc. One cloth can be used up to 100 times. I usually make a batch of five or ten at a time and they will last a long time.
