Zesty Meatballs
Recipe By : Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Beef Main Yahoo Groups
Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 pound ground round steak 1/2 teaspoon onion salt 1/4 cup water 1/2 cup fine bread crumbs 1 egg 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1 can tomato sauce -- (15 ounce) juice of 1 lemon lemon slices parsley
Combine meat, salt, water, bread crumbs and egg. Mix well and shape in to small balls. Set aside. Combine sugar, tomato sauce and lemon juice in a saucepan. Simmer about 3 minutes. Add meatballs and continue to simmer 45 minutes. Transfer to a chafing dish set on low heat. Garnish with lemon slices and parsley.
