Cheese Biscuits
Ingredients
2 cups self-rising flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon sugar 1/3 cup Crisco shortening 3/4 cup grated Cheddar cheese 1 cup buttermilk Directions 1.Preheat oven to 350°. Mix flour, baking powder, and sugar together using a fork; cut in shortening until it resembles cornmeal. Add cheese.
2.Stir in buttermilk all at one time just until blended. Do not overstir.
3. Drop by tablespoonfuls (An ice cream scoop can be used to give biscuits a nicer shape) onto a well-greased baking sheet.
4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.

Crisco is a brand name for a popular cooking oil sold in the US. Here is the web site for more information and recipes. hmmm looks like i am going to be there a bit<G> www.crisco.com/index.asp
